There was a time when the greatest civilization known to mankind was on a island. This island was in the middle of the Atlantic. No one knew how it got there. Modern scientist would disagree with the mere idea of it. But nonetheless it was there. It covered over 900,000 sq miles of the ocean. It was the largest island in the world, as well as the most powerful. The people of the island had a strange power that was stronger than Europe’s guns. They had a source of power that allowed them to keep their strategic location. To add to its brilliance, it had a large amount of natural resources. Naturally, it also had one of the best educations in the world. On this island was a huge university. It was considered to the best in the world. Huntington University. Students from all over the world wished to study there. But only a select few get in. The island was truly prefect. But prefect things couldn’t last forever.

At the peak of their civilization, something happened that ended this powerful island. Something that surprised the entire world. It was called the devil. It was called the destroyer. It was called many things but the most common name for this is a tsunami. In a matter of minutes, it had destroyed the entire island. 100,000 sq miles of land sunk underneath the sea. Many lives were lost that day. Scientist couldn’t understand what caused this tsunami which had sunk an entire island. Most say that it was god’s wrath. The island had acquired too much power that it was getting out of control. But their theory was often questioned as this island was a peaceful island. It never had war with any countries. Many tried to take over the island such as England, Russia, France etc. However something was protecting the island which enabled the islanders to stop the war before it started. It had an odd power around it. But there is no such thing as magic… Is there?

Not believing the island’s power, the island was never printed in history books. Some countries acknowledged the island as a legend. Most just ignored its great power. Perhaps it was because they were embarrassed that an island could be more powerful than the European nations who were the leading powers at that time. Or maybe it’s because of the island’s mysterious power. Whatever the reason may be, the island was forgotten.

Centuries passed. Many wars happened. Million lives died. The year is now 1980. The year went by calmly. On the anniversary of this alleged island, something happened that stunned the world once again. A part of this famous island resurfaced randomly. This strand of land included the university. If the fact that this part of the island surfaced out of nowhere wasn’t surprising, then the fact that the university was still structured stocked the world into silence. The building was destroyed but the basic structure was still in place. Scientists were stunned. They had gone over there to do experiments but never figured it out. Most scientists stopped the research but a few pursed this amazing mystery.

As the years went on, parts of the islands kept resurfacing. When it was 1985, almost half the island resurfaced. After that it stopped. Nothing happened in the middle of the Atlantic. A year later, there were people there. How they got there no one knew but they were there. Things started to get alive in the island. A government was formed and the country got itself going. The world was surprised. The country had just resurfaced out of the blue and a few years later the island was prospering.

One of the things that surprised the world was Huntington University. The university opened a year after the island came back from the dead. At first, it only accepted the island students. But as it grew in its level of education, it started to accept students from the world. By 2000, the university challenged the best of the colleges around such as Harvard and Oxford.

The island is a mystery. Many people can’t figure out what is the mystery behind it. But nonetheless, students and adults come to the island hoping to absorb the power. They come to settle in the island. As the students come to the university, they have noticed something even more bizarre about the place. It had strange source of power radiating off it.

Mysterious things happen every day. Things to the staff, and the students. Fatal things have also been known to happen. So what is your destiny? Will you solve the mystery and survive the island’s past? Or will you be entrapped like million others?
